PARLIAMENTARIAN

MaryAnne is a specialized advisor to presidents and other officers, committees, and members of deliberative assemblies on matters of parliamentary procedure.

MaryAnne was certified in 1979 as a Professional Registered Parliamentarian by the National Association of Parliamentarians.

She serves as Professional Parliamentarian and teaches Robert's Rules of Order for meetings and conventions for:

Business and business organizations

Private and nonprofit civic organizations

Political parties and advocacy groups

School boards and accountability committees, public and private

Foundations and other charitable organizations

Youth groups

Contract usually by hour, but may be by project when appropriate.
Pro bono in some instances.

DUTIES, including but not limited to:

Consulting with officers regarding constitution and bylaws of organization,

Studying documents to understand the objectives of the organization,

Assisting appropriate officers in writing bylaws or amendments,

reparing meeting or convention agenda,

Assisting in creation of meeting script,

Formalizing teaching formats,
Preparing educational materials and handouts,

Consulting president regarding fees and expenses

MaryAnne is President of the Colorado Springs Unit of the National Association of Parliamentarians.
